January 2016 What I've been up to

  • I dipped my toe into Project Management and completed a Project Initiation course. This indeed looks rich and interesting, but certificate completion will wait for another time.
  • Course in Social Housing Management, follow-up from November's coursework, was cancelled due to low enrollment. Too bad.
  • Both of these courses were at Langara - my new favorite place to go - its where all the cool kids go!
  • I went to the BC Crime Prevention Association's full-day training on Abuse of older adults awareness and response training in North Delta

I Attended:

  • Heritage BC's webinar on Heritage & Cultural Tourism
  • Tamarack/Vibrant Communities' webinar on Creating a Container for your Content regarding communication strategies in social innovation
  • National Collaborating Centre for Aboriginal Health's webinar on Metis history, identity and the Metis Nation today
  • Tamarack Institute's webinar on Rural Community Transportation Solutions
  • BC Association of Social Worker's webinar on Episodic Disability: Relational Communication and Reasonable Accommodation
  • Charity Village's webinar on the Top 20 Compliance Issues for Canadian Registered Charities
  • CASW's webinar on Family Violence through a Trauma Informed Approach
