November 2015 What I've been up to

  • Finished the SFU/City of Surrey Continuing Studies Transportation Lecture Program. It was a great overview of land use planning, community development, land development and transportation planning shaping the City of Surrey.
  • Completed a small project for the SFU/City of Surrey Continuing Studies Transportation Lecture Program regarding  a pedestrian experience of incremental infrastructureExperiential photographic presentation illustrating different paths and trails and lack of cohesive pedestrian infrastructure. Concluded that there are a lot of incomplete paths to no where and undocumented paths. Up-to date descriptions of planned pedestrian infrastructure and current wayfinding would be beneficial to best use available pedestrian infrastructure.
  • Completed BCCPA's Crime Prevention Volunteer Training Day
  • Participated in We the City Community Summit's Housing in the City: THRIVE! Surrey in 2030
  • Volunteered at the 16th Annual Hyde Creek Salmon Festival as an engagement facilitator and created a short survey as part of the engagement strategy. This is an awesome free family event - check it out next fall!
